Message from the Bishop

Bishop MerwynBishop MerwynWelcome to the Diocese of False Bay in the Church of the Province of Southern Africa, our brand new Diocese carved out of the historic Diocese of Cape Town.

In God’s good time, His Spirit has released us and commissioned us to minister to a rich diversity of people and cultures in the Western Cape in a time of rapid urbanization, growing unemployment and the stark reality of HIV/AIDS infections.

We will seek to ‘give God flesh’ wherever He places us, and to make the Church a loving, accepting and inclusive community, where all will be at home and at ease, and where Christ will be experienced in fellowship and Eucharistic worship.

Visit us, where you visit ‘the loveliest Cape of all’ We would love to offer you hospitality and we would love to invite you to partner us as we seek to build the Kingdom.

Love and prayers

+Merwyn
